On December 6, 2019, USCIS announced its implementation of their new electronic registration process. The new system will be utilized in the next H-1B lottery and will require that employers interested in filing H-1B Cap-subject petitions for FY 2021 (including advanced degree-exempt petitions) now register and remit a $10 H-1B electronic registration fee.
Effective December 13, 2019, USCIS has widened its policy guidance (PDF, 290 KB) as it pertains to unlawful acts that may prevent naturalization applicants from meeting the “Good Moral Character” (GMC) requirement.
As of December 20, 2019, USCIS has started updating the USCIS Policy Manual to redefine what it means to travel outside of the U.S. when in Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and subject to removal proceedings.
